THE COUNTDOWN IS ON⏰ Our First Day of School as NorthStar Public Schools is on Monday, August 24th for all students in Grades K-8 🚌 We are looking forward to welcoming back to school all our students to start off our 2026-27 school year strong. Please review important school information and details below so we can start the year off strong!
📅Why Attendance Matters
The first few weeks of school are incredibly important. Students are building relationships, learning classroom routines and expectations, establishing positive habits, and laying the foundation for a successful year ahead. Every day matters! Our goal for the first two weeks is for students to show 100% school attendance as we launch our one-of-a-kind school centered around Business & Finance. This goal helps to ground our school community in a positive pattern of attendance, engagement, and success from Day One!
⏰Arrival & Dismissal
Students should arrive on campus between 8:40-9:00am (No earlier than 8:40am)
Students who arrive after 9:15am are marked tardy and need to sign in at the front office
Students are dismissed at 3:50pm
Parent Pick up is located on 50th Avenue and parents should remain in their vehicle
🍽️School Meals
Hot breakfast is served from 9:00-9:25am
All students receive a free hot breakfast and lunch

🚌Transportation
Transportation details will be provided at Back to School Night
All transportation changes for the day must be made by 12:00pm on regular school days or by 10:00am on Early Release Days
To make changes to your child’s transportation, contact the front office at 612-287-9700.
Transportation changes will take 7-10 days to implement
👕School Uniforms
Students will receive one free uniform shirt and one free uniform sweatshirt
Parents / Guardians can purchase one additional uniform polo shirt after Back to School Night for $10 at the front office (cash only)
Students should come to school in their gray NorthStar uniform polo shirt with black or khaki pants

💻Online Registration
Your child/ren are already registered for the 2026-27 school year and we are excited to welcome them back to school on Monday, August 24th. To make sure we have all your updated contact information, updated health summary, and other important school documents and consent forms, please complete our JMC Online Registration Form, using the link below.
If you have not logged in to the Parent Portal, follow the steps below.
Enter your Username (Should be your last name)
Click “Forgot Your Password” and enter your email address to reset your password
Log into the JMC Parent Portal
Click the “Register for 2026-27” link and click the first box “Start/Continue the Registration Process”
All families also need to complete the “Application for Educational Benefits” form
